Herefordshire has a wealth of events throughout the year. We've selected some of the key ones here, and we'll be sharing other local events we come across on our social channels throughout the year.

Lakefest- 10th-13th August

Lakefest 2023 is Set in the sublimely picturesque Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Hereford, Lakefest prides itself on creating a hugely enjoyable, family friendly festival where music, entertainment, family activities, fairground rides and creativity collide to produce an unmeasured Festival that will capture with hearts and minds of attendees, regardless of age.

With an array of stages including the ever-popular Mainstage we aim to provide a plethora of music that means regardless of musical tastes there will be something for everyone.

Based on the ethos of being “all inclusive and family friendly” there is a whole program of activities, music and entertainment set in the secure confines of a stunning natural valley, which is overlooked by the exquisite Eastnor Castle.

Kington Vintage Rally - 19th-20th August 2023

Kington Vintage Rally 2023 will be held  at Kington Recreation Ground.

Featuring ring displays including Misselchalke Gundogs, as well as an all manner of classic and vintage vehicles and machines.

The grand parade will leave Hatton Gardens Industrial Estate in Kington on Sunday morning at 9:30am and is a display not to be missed if you want to see these splendid vehicles in all their glory.

 

Hereford River Carnival- 25th-26th August 2023

The event will launch at dusk on Friday 25 August with a spectacular live performance along and on the river.  Saturday is carnival day and will be ‘a day at the seaside’ as we create Hereford-on-Sea. The legendary carnival procession will flood the streets with people and bring everyone to the river to watch the river procession.

Alongside the well-loved highlights like the fun fair, indie food village, craft workshops, traditional games, festival of sport and music stages there will be many new areas & activities across the site.

Hereford Indie Food Festival- 26th-28th August 2023

Hereford Indie Food is a 3 day urban festival of street food, music, makers, and produce – set in the heart of Hereford city.

Last year’s festival saw over 7000 people come to the 2 day event, held on Aubrey Street, and welcomed big names to Hereford such as Trevor Nelson, and Everything Everything.

Herefordshire Art Week - 2nd-10th September 2023

Herefordshire Art Week is a nine day art trail open to all.  Artists, craft-makers and creative businesses open their private studios. Galleries put on special events, whilst groups get together to put on one-off exhibitions, in a wonderful mix of interesting venues across Herefordshire.

This year there are 141 venues involving 468 artists from a huge range of disciplines and backgrounds.

Bromyard Folk Festival- 7th-10th September 2023

Bromyard Folk Festival is a registered charity whose aim is to promote traditional folk activities in an annual festival.

The Festival has a lot available to do, with entertainment for all ages, plus food, drink and activities throughout the whole weekend.

Kington Show - 9th September 2023

Kington Show is one of the largest one-day agricultural shows in the country and will take place this year on Saturday 10 September.

With its roots firmly embedded in farming, the show brings together the local community and provides a setting for all to enjoy a fantastic day out. The show has managed to blend the traditional agricultural feel of livestock and horticultural competitions with the lively entertainment on offer for the whole family in and around the main ring.

In addition, there will over 100 outdoor trade stands, a busy Food & Craft marquee and a wide variety of catering options including a licensed public bar.

Fireworks at Eastnor Castle- 9th September 2023

Firework Champions at Eastnor Castle is the only one of its type in the UK where the audience have the capability to vote for the team they liked the most using their mobile phone – purely for fun.

The day includes fire works, lasers, lights, drones, music, food & drink.

Malvern Autumn Show- 22nd- 24th September 2023

Record-breaking giant vegetables, showstopping floral displays, delicious food, shopping galore and plenty of fun family entertainment, celebrate the very best of the season at the Malvern Autumn Show on 22, 23 & 24 September 2023.

From RHS Gold Medal winning show gardens and top quality specialist plant and floral exhibitors in our beautiful Floral Marquee, there is no better place for gardeners of all abilities to discover summer inspiration and experience the restorative pleasure of a great day out.

There is plenty more including floristry, great food, cookery demonstrations and shopping arcades with a selection of artisan craft for you to browse and buy.

Ross Walking Festival 29th September- 1st October 2023

If you love walking you will love walking in the Wye Valley, and what better chance to learn about this beautiful area while getting your fill of exercise and fresh air, than by joining in the Ross-on-Wye Walking Festival  – 3 days of guided walks along trails and footpaths offering a taste of the town and the surrounding countryside.

Burton Court Antiques Fair - 13th- 14th October 2023

The fair includes 45 dealers, located in one huge marquee with several throughout the rooms of the stunning house. Alongside the antiques, there will be homemade delicious food for you to enjoy whilst staring out to the beautiful grounds.

Burton Court is a country house overlooking the Herefordshire countryside.  The large marquee sits in the grounds with more stands within the house.  Now into it’s eighth year and is a favourite with both dealers and visitors.

 

Hergest Croft Gardens Autumn Plant Fair - 15th October 2023

See a wide range of specialist nurseries offering rare and unusual plants craft, charity and produce stalls.

Visitors are welcome to walk round the gardens to see the spectacular autumn colour.

Kington Annual Bonfire and Fireworks- 28th October 2023

Kington Annual Bonfire and Fireworks will return for 2023 at The Recreation Ground Kington a week earlier than 5 November to allow people to visit other events the week after.

Organised by the local firefighters, this is a fantastic show for all the family.

 

 

 

Bromyard Christmas Lights- 18th November 2023

The 18th November will see the ever impressive Bromyard Christmas lights illuminate the town once again.

Crowds gather for this impressive display that is all done with non-profit organisations and volunteers. A wonderful community atmosphere where everyone feels a part of the event and the warm spirit of Christmas makes friends of us, one and all.

Malvern Winter Glow 24th November 2023- 6th January 2024

Winter Glow – Amazing festive experiences in Malvern, Worcestershire
Immerse yourself in all things seasonal, with an impressive line-up of activities and excitement on offer in Malvern this winter.

Santa experience, ice skating, illuminated light trail, Christmas Market, fairground, Food Quarter and so much more to see.

Kington Christmas Lights Switch On- 29th November 2023

The Kington Town Council & Kington Chamber of Trade Christmas Lights switch-on event will take place on Wednesday 29 November 2023 from 6pm onwards at the Market Hall, Place De Marines and Coach House.

The lights will be turned on at approximately 6:30pm.
