We Celebrate National Apprentice Week with our very own shining example!
Meet Polly Aubrey, our Finance Manager. and a valued member of our Discover Parks team - currently doing a Government Funded Level 7 Apprenticeship (equiv. to a Masters Degree) with the Charted Institute of Management Accountants.
Polly joined us back in 2021 and began her training last April with the training provider BPP, she is hoping to reach her ‘End Point Assessment’ by November next year which is no mean feat. So 11 exams and her EPA - carried out in 3 stages being Operational, Management & Strategic - as well as managing the finances for 3 incredibly busy parks - hats off to you Polly!
"This is something I have always wanted to do as the next stage in my career,” says Polly.
“When I applied for the job at Discover Parks I told Glenn and Hannah I would like to do it and they agreed as additional knowledge I am gaining from my studies is beneficial to the business.“

Polly completed the final part of the Operational Level with an exam last Friday during National Apprentice Week. Hopefully, in 6weeks, she will be awarded the letters CIMA Dip MA after her name, moving things smoothly along onto the Management Level journey.
“The work/study balance is quite demanding,” says Polly, “but at Discover Parks it’s great. I have the advantage of being able to walk around the parks during lunch break or study breaks to clear the mind and breathe in the fresh countryside air.“
